MFP MIB Project

Abstract

The MFP MIB document describes the overall model of the MFP and the architecture of MIB documents that are used to describe the MFP. For the most part, this document is textual description of how to utilize other documents to describe digital copiers, facsimile terminals, network scanners, and other document oriented office equipment. To facilitate adoption, the structures already defined by the Printer MIB that are applicable to other subsystems are not redefined but are used as-is from the Printer MIB. For example, the alert table is used for all subsystems, not just the printer subsystems. Additionally, the MFP MIB defines some MIB objects that are global in scope.

Status

This work is largely completed, and will be submitted for further dissemination soon.
